Shine Honey, Shine with the Beach Culture Chic T-Shirt Line

I must admit, It's been a challenging  journey over the 3 past years to create the perfect graphics for the Beach Culture Chic T-Shirt line that I could be proud of. As a Gen X, Black Woman who loves to surf, I've often felt overlooked in the surfing world, and the lack of diversity in surf wear has only added to that feeling of invisibility.

But I have refused to let that hold me back, and so I poured my heart and soul into creating something stylish and unique to wear. I've invested a lot of money, time and effort into finding the right artist who could bring my vision to life. I wanted to make sure this line is not only stylish and unique, but it's also eco-friendly and features surfers with Afros and curves, something that I have always wanted to see in surf wear.

Since I have been a Natural Hairstylist for 30 years and have made a lot of  content for over a  decade now on You Tube , I felt it was a way of celebrating my 10th Anniversary of being in the surf culture.

The lack of diversity in surf wear especially as a woman in a male dominated industry has been frustrating, and it's something that I know many other surfers of color can relate to. That's why I am so proud to have created this T-Shirt line that showcases Surfers with curly, wavy afros and curves.

But it's not just about representation - it's also sustainability. I made sure that the materials used in T-shirt line are eco-friendly, because I believe in doing my little part in taking care of our planet while creating something original and dope! I'm proud to say that this line is not only fashionable and inclusive, but also environmentally conscious.

Overall, creating these Tees, Tanks, Sweaters and Hats have been a labor of love. It was a challenging journey, but the final product  made it worth it as well as the feedback from not making any sells on the previous designs are just apart of entrepreneurship.

So after consulting with some of my business colleagues about this new line, I am thrilled to share it with the world and hope that it brings joy and great conversation to all those who wear it, while also promoting diversity and sustainability in the surfing community.
