Los Angeles in terms of east coast or Midwest fashion can not be compared. Four seasons to dress for, changes the options as to what you can play up or down where as Los Angeles has somewhat like 2, maybe 3 seasons at the most.
By the time we pull out our winter best, the next week is literally 80 degrees in November then the following week turns cold again and the cycle continues. So this is why many of us just grab a few non-matching layers of clothing that we put on through the day as the weather gets colder in the evening we are back in our full attire. To some "fashion experts" it can give the appearance of being frumpy..
So how can we claim a spot at the top of style? Personally, I don't think we really don't care, we're busy surfing, biking, hiking and attending the many things there are to do here. However, I got a few recommendations for those of us who love a little flavor in our lives. Now, I'm actually surprised I don't see more People wearing stylish hats. A twist of trendy accents in the hat, sunglasses, stylish handbags and shoes or sandals with some trinkets on them will help upgrade your look.
Boringly, everybody wears the same tan hat. Ok, I got a couple too but I also got an array of others that I wear. This includes Men too. I'd love to see more dudes at the beach rocking a colorful hat showing a little more personality and style. I think it looks good to with a pair of trunks or in the winter here with a t-shirt and a sweater.
For me, nothing makes a Man look more polished than a linen shirt on with a pair of shorts, flip flops and one of those hats above. I mean if he's going to be about the beach life then be about it! It oozes out taste and refinement that I find very intriguing. Hopefully, he has the personality to match.
Speaking of sweaters, when it gets chilly towards the evening, instead of just layering with a bunch of long sleeve shirts or flannel button downs over your tees, why not just have a couple of solid color styles to choose from.. They have some great sustainable companies available for us conscious folks who care about the environment. You won't go wrong with having coral colored hues of the sand, the Sea and Palm trees.
Caribbean and African prints are naturally bright, multi-colored and an excellent choice for looking more fashionable because all you need is one piece to wear with something solid and you've already improved your look.
Also, beach coverups automatically takes your fashion level up a few notches. They can be a fusion of beachy bohemian flowing pieces that move with the wind and look coastal casual high end.
So in conclusion, I hope this is adds inspiration to your look for the different beach seasons. Let me know what you think. Check out this post below for more fashion inspiration.
